will 17x8.5 in. rims fit stock height?

    Hey gang-
    can anyone help me with this question? I wanted to get some 16x8 centerline wheels for my '09 taco SR5 accesscab. The company said that I need to go with 17" wheels because the calipers will hit the 16s. I'm thinking of getting the wheel in 17x8.5" with tires equivilant to 31x10.5". Does anyone know if that will fit using my stock height or do I need to lift the truck?

    Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
    u should be fine stock. that tire size is prolly a 265/70/17...

    I'm running 17x9 rims and they fit without a lift. My tires are 31.57" and 10.79".
