Will 17x9 wheels with -6 offset and 4.7 backspacing fit?

I’ve got a 2016 Trd or 4x4 No lift for now!

I just ordered some mayhem prodigy wheels 17x9 with -6 offset and 4.7 backspacing.

I want 265/70r17 till I save up for a lift.

Question is will these wheel and tire combo work with no lift?

Please advise guys. Thanks newbie to the wheel game!

 

With that offset you may rub. Most likely in reverse with the wheels turned.

 

rub what? I’m good with rubbing plastics, I can cut. We talking about the cab mounts. I can get that done too. Just wondering about the things it shouldn’t rub. Thanks for the reply.

 

I guess I just worried about the -6 offsets.

most I see r -12 for the Tacoma’s!

 

Not too sure about the cab mounts. Do you plan on eventually running 33’s or 35’s? If so, just do the cab mount chop to be safe. Hopefully someone else can chime in on this for you.

wym by the offset, will it be easier or harder to fit the tires with -12 offset bc im trying to decide if i should get tires with 0 offset or -12 offset, which one would fit with less trimming with 33s and one day 35s?

 

I don’t kno a ton about offset but, the more you stick the wheel out like -12 offset when you turn full one way or other the more it rubs “I think”. There are a ton of guys running -12 and more. So it’s really about how much poke you want. My guess would be less rubbing with 0. With 35” your gonna have to trim no matter what!

 

true, but idk if less than half an in will matter than much but will help with gussets on the spindles

 

I was skeptical about fit with -6 off set. But it works, I only rub at full tilt in reverse on plastics. Still haven’t heat gunned my plastic tho. And like I said a ton of Toyota wheel companies use a -12 offset. Like almost all the stealth customs are!

 

ok, sounds ab right, if i can get the gussets in with 0 offset i will but i need to do a bit more reading as of rn
