There is a set of 2016 Toyota TRD off road rims and tires that are 17" for sale. Will they fit my 2007 Tacoma 4x4 that came with 16" from the factory. Sorry I am very new to generation 2 trucks and really trying to get a quick answer. I know I can probably google it but cant use computer much at work. Thanks Rick

The TPMS's in the 2016 wheels won't work with your 2007. I had to have my sensors removed from my 2015 wheels, and placed in the wheels I got from a 2017 for it to work properly for me.

2016 TRD Off road rims are also 16in.... 2016 TRD Sport rims are 17in, just like in the 2nd gens.

But yes they are all interchangeable..... not sure about TPMS tho. Im sure with a techstream cable you could program the new ones.

Thanks and you are correct they are 16". My 2007 TPMS batteries have died in two of my tires so I am thinking real hard about disconnecting that whole TPMS sensor. Thanks guys I really appreciate it.

You guys think those rims with original tires that are said to be about 80% thread Goodyear AT's are worth 700.00?

I would take that deal. It's a bit high. But I've been trying to get a set for a while now.

The truck I just purchased has bald tires. The rims looked like they and I mean they were never cleaned and actually are very rough. It has a rough country 3' lift up front and blocks in the back. I will in the near future take the rough country out and replace the leafs in the back. Would like to go with maybe a 2' lift. So the rims and tires are needed. Kill two birds with one stone and then later can upgrade the tires to more aggressive thread. Really thought about 17" rims and I may hold out and try to score some 17".

I've seen new ones sell for $400-1,000.

I got mine with 200 miles for $500.

In my neck of the woods they are going for $600-800. So you’re right there. I’d say if you need tires, then go for it. Do check the date on the rubber itself. I’d make an argument for a price cut if they are more than or close to 3yrs old. Even though the tire may have plenty of tread, they may loose performance with age. A 4-5+ yr old tire for the most part doesn’t do well with wet/mud/snow.

Muddinfun I think that is just for the rims but you are correct that would be a good deal right there and 17". Thanks for posting. Rick

Ok need a little help here. I have a ton of experience with a gen 1 Tacoma but none with a gen two. The lug nuts do not come with these rims and the Stealership wants 8.00 a piece for them. Now I personally have not seen the lug nuts but I think I read somewhere that the gen 3 lug nuts were longer and it was a good idea to go with them. Can anybody chime in here and help me on this. Not really wanting to spend 200 for lug nuts. The dealer was saying there was three types of lug nuts and worst case scenario I would spend 8.00 a piece. Thinking I can beat that for sure.
