Just bought a 2020 and was wonder if my old 18 flowmaster american thunder catbak and afe CAI will fit? As far as im tracking the only thing changed in the 2020 was some minor creature comforts inside the cab and the addition of LED headlights. Thoughts?

You should be fine if it came off of your 2018 or 2017 tacoma.

I’m sure it will ... nothing about the engine has changed.

How do you like the purr on your flowmaster? I am trying to figure out what to put on my 2020 OR DCSB. I know sound is very perspective based, but I do like a nice deep sound on ignition and while driving. Last exhaust system I had was on my 98 mustang GT. But that was a 4.6L v8 Soo...

Also, do you have this CAI: https://afepower.com/afe-power-56-70012r-takeda-momentum-pro-5r-cold-air-intake-system

I’ve had the TRD pro exhaust, magnaflow, and now the Flowmaster American thunder. Out of the three I like the Flowmaster the best. Don’t get me wrong the other two were nice but they wasn’t loud enough to me lol. The Flowmaster does have kind of a deep tone to it for a V6 and it doesn’t sound like a fart can or some ricer civic. I actually rather like it on my Tacoma. Do not however expect it to sound like your stang. I had a F-150 5L that was cut from the cat and turned down at the rear axle so there’s no comparison in tone, noise, or quality. For what it’s worth on our Tacoma’s it’s the best sounding that I’ve found so far.

The CAI that I have is the AFE momentum GT

Thanks for the info!! I'm debating between the flowmaster and a borla. I really like the sound that I heard form the borla, granted it was on you tube lol

loved Borla’s products and quality but their sport cat for the Tacoma wasn’t loud enough for me. The Flowmaster isn’t waking the dead however but I like the sound of it while I’m driving. A lot of the times I just like to listen to my truck while I’m driving lol

Interesting, cuz that's what I am looking for. A nice sound on start up and a nice purrrrr when I'm cruising. I'll have to do some more research then on which sound I like more!!
