Didn't see anything with a search here so throwing it out there.

They needed to do something to get more power out of the Tacoma - either get more out of the V6, do a V8 option or even better do a diesel option.

If this is true, very nice Tacoma!!

Check out this article for 2018 Tacoma with a V8.

Oh Jesus fuck this is one of the worst ones I've seen.

All it ever mentions is the Tacoma when it's clearly talking about a tundra.

These types of articles are written by bots. They are just click-bait to show you other advertising, or worse......maybe gather a little data about you. Totally bogus.

Has to be one of the worst articles I've ever read...

Nice pics of a tundra exterior and a tacoma interior.

With regards to the engine, I highly doubt a small v8 will ever be available in a tacoma, let alone a diesel option. Hybrid or Turbo seems to be the way of the future

V8? In the taco?.... never. Toyota will stick to the 3.5L until the next gen taco. The ranger might help push things along, but the Tacoma has staggering sales.. as far as they’re concerned they’ve got it right.

I see little 3cyl geo metros pudding along just fine.. everyone has to quit worrying about the power.. just take it easyyy

3.5 Tacoma has bags of power, just not where people were hoping to find it.

That 40-90mph acceleration is actually scary good. I'd advise against it though. haha

I know the 3.5L is not the most powerful engine in the world, but I genuinely just do not understand all the hate it gets. This is not a full size truck dudes, if you need the power to haul stuff you are in the wrong vehicle. and likewise, I'd be willing to be 99.999% of the driving all of us do is just cruising on the highway going to and from work. Why would you want a V8 engine for that kind of driving? The whole point of that Tacoma is to have a truck that is practical; meaning the engine is efficient, and the truck is large enough to do basic hauling and towing, but not so big that its hard to maneuver on roads and in parking lots. This truck does all of that really really well.

I'm sorry, but I just do not see what all the fuss is about.
