I just searched for 15 minutes and I cannot find the answer to this or pics of someone with a first gen with 2nd gen steelies on it? Please help. Bonus points for pics. Thanks!

That is the TRD Off-road alloy, I am referring to the base model steel wheels:P1090889.jpg

Gotcha. Well I had to use 1.25'' spacers to fit the TRD's so if they're similar then its probably the same deal

And this was to clear the front brake calipers, correct?

I have these up for sale and have a buyer with a 1999 Prerunner. I figured it was a no brainer that they would fit until I started searching and cannot find a single picture in the google universe with a 1st gen wearing these wheels...? Just seems odd. Thanks for chiming in by the way.

If I remember correctly it cleared the caliper, the tires just rubbed like crazy on the fenders. The front still rubs at full lock over bumps but not too bad

I've seen the same wheels you posted on 1st gens where I'm at. Didn't look like they had spacers either. I sold my exact same steelies to a guy with an '88 Toyota, they fit...

The pic above is from the buyer. Apparently the wheels fit no problem. Problem solved. Hopefully this helps someone else out because I couldn't find the answer elsewhere...

there have been numerous posts on wheels and fitment. all 6-lug with standard tires fit all 6-lug Toyotas with out problems. If you change the tire size then you have to worry about rubbing.

glad the sale worked out for you.
