    An inch of preload on the driver and half an inch on the passenger side.

    You know its been so long since I swapped them I don't really remember the driving characteristics before. However, I do remember an audible sound of the LCA's smacking with the stock bump. I also rember the stock one being made out of some rubber that was already dry rotting after 1 year on the road. That's the main reason I switched.

    I do recognize that you could very much be on to something with uptravel.

    I was surprised also to be honest. That’s why I haven’t even bothered upgrading to 650 or 700lb

    My buddy has some in his garage and I’m gonna try them out and see if whateveryone says is true. Bottoming out take A LOT of force so what I think most people are referring to is a big hit not a bottom out. But I’ll give them a try

    Sorry to thread jack, but I've seen more than a few threads on aftermarket bumpstops lately and it has got me a bit worried. I'm currently running an Icon Stage4 lift but I'm running the stock bumpstops. Should I be looking to get longer stops?

    I was under the impression that the Icons allowed for more droop but still allow full travel up, but the kit wasn't cheap and I'd rather not kill my shocks by accidentally bottoming them out when it could've been prevented with longer stops.

    Most aftermarket shocks like icon, king & fox are built for oem stops to maximize up travel. By getting longer bumpstops you will decrease your up travel. Unless you get superbumps which are bigger stops but they do compress to the size of oem ones. You don’t necessarily need bigger bump stops on your truck unless you want to minimize up travel
