will a 2012 V6 4.0l fit my 2010 Tacoma V6 HELP

    hello Im about to buy a used engine for my 2010 tacoma 4.0l
    but not sure if a 2012 tacoma 4.0l fit be plug & play???

    AFe Rebel Catback Exhaust, AFe GT Momentum Air Intake, Method Wheels, Bilstein 5100, Rigid 30" SR2 Light Bar, Rigid 10" SR Light Bar. Lots of Love
    Yes it should fit; however you will be require to re-use some parts off your 2010 engine.

    I think the exhaust manifolds are different due to the air pump design; not sure they came out with that in 2012 or 2013. Everything should plug up; perhaps a few minor changes in sensors but I highly doubt it.

    yeah I thought so, Im in the process of buying a 2010 4.0l with 77k on it but then I found this 2012 with 55k not much of a difference for the same price

    2012 engines have a lot more emissions systems on them so the ECU and wiring might not be a straight swap

    buy the 2012 and you will be able to use everything off the motor sans the exhaust manifolds (hell you could probably use the exhaust manifolds and get block off plates for the air injection ports).

    I ran the engine with no oil without noticing it did a lot of internal damage

    yeah guess it was my bad luck.. I was on a rocky trail and I'm guessing a rock dent my skid plate and destroy my plug :facepalm:
