$1,200 to fix the leak or fix the lift? And yes to the ECGS bushing install. That is a headache to do later

Too much lift...those CV boot fins are crunched up together and will rub apart in no time.

I haven't heard of a lift causing the axle seals to leak, usually that happens when you remove/reinstall the CV axle and the seal gets damaged, or leaks from age/wear and tear.

In general though you really should lower that lift down until the CV boot fins are no longer touching each other

It improves the cv angle. I have it in mine. Works great.

Completely unnecessary on 3rd gens. I had one and took it out because it was affecting the ride with harmonics because it rotated some of the oil from contacting certain parts. It doesn’t drop the diff, only slightly rotates it.

They aren’t a good mod for the new trucks.

He’s 100% right and they can do more harm than good.

Does almost zero for a first gen too, installed mine a few years back and it didn't change a thing. All they really do is tilt the front of the diff down a tad, they don't drop it all. Not worth the added stress on the diff mount bushings. Best thing is to just keep the lift low enough to where the boots don't rub.

How did you get those Bilstein 6112s to lift that high? They don’t lift over 2 inches on a 3rd gen. Stiffer springs? Spacers?

    those cv angles no bueno.

While I dont think your lift is causing the leak, those angles are def no good man!

Get a digital angle finder and put it on your CV shaft, Zero it. Then remove the diff drop and put the diff back to stock location. Now see just how much of a change it made.

to update my issue with my truck ,Oct 15 talked to Devin @duggys garage he kept on insisting that they have nothing to do with the leak so i asked him if he is licensed tech so he can explain it to the Supervisor at the dealership and he said no so he said Dug @duggys will give me a call, talked to Dug @duggys same scenario and but agreed to meet me in the dealership after i told him that its hard for me to explain to the dealership especially i don't know what to say, Dug told me Devin will give me a call as soon as he cleared his schedule, 3 weeks waited to give them enough time consideration of this pandemic, today November 5, not a single phone call, e-mail, messenger just to inform a previous customer that they are still working on their calendar or schedule maybe they dont really honor their word as well as their work? calling them wont be a good thing from me im really upset, mad, being lied to but who knows karma is just around the corner. o_O
