08" DC Tacoma. I just upgraded to new 17x9 tires and 285/70/17 BFG tires, I already have ICON C/O's set at 2" and an AAL in the rear. When I took the truck to be aligned the mechanic said that lifting anymore above the already preset 2" on the Icon's would mess up the truck over time and cause excessive damage and wear. I need to get to at least 2.5-3" adjusting the ICON's up for the tires, this sounds somewhat like bull**** to me? Any truth to it ruining the truck

Did you do a diff drop? Maybe replace the UCA's to get better alignment.

It's a 2WD. I was looking at getting a Total Chaos UCA somewhere down the line to replace lost castor within the next month. I should be good till then yeah?

I don't think that it will mess it up very much at all. Maybe now instead of a 1,000,000mi you might only get 900,000mi. haha. I say go for it and enjoy what you bought.

It just puts more stress on the ball joints, thats about it. Larger tires are way harder on a vehicle than a 3" lift.
