I am lookin at these 33x12.50x15 Cooper Discoverers STT's for my Tacoma along with a 2.5 to a 3 inch lift. I am new at modifying cars and aren't as hardcore as most of yall so I need some help. Are the tires to big for the wheel well? Im not going to be doing a lot off-road so Im not worried about that but when I turn are they going to scrub? If so, is there anyway I can rig it so it doesn't scrub? Any help is welcome.

I would suggest a 3" suspension and 1-2" body lift with 1.5" wheel spacer if you can find them and do the black box mod and you should be good and not have any rubbing issues

Would that add up to 5 inches total lift or do the suspension and body lifts not add on to each other?

IT would add up to 5 inches of lift over stock, however it would only be 3 inches of suspension lift, and then what ever lift from the body lift. Other than the lift your probably going to have to cut to get them to clear, assuming your a 1st gen taco, cuz 15' wont fit on a 2nd gen

15 inch rims will not fit on a 05+ Tacoma. Wont clear the calipers. I think only the 1st gens can fit a 15 inch rim

    Btw welcome to Tacomaworld

X3 15” wheel will not fit on 2nd gens.

I think some one re did all the brakes and made them fit, but it was kinda expensive and a lot of work. Not worth it at all in my opinion!! Just get a something with a 16” wheel.

i have a 2010 5 lug and i clear 15's just fine you just have to have the right style of wheel and proper backspacing because the second gens have +45 offset. i have 15x7 MB chaos 5 wheels and 235/75/15 tires with a 3" lift with no modifications at all

if its 05+ 6 lugger it wont clear 15s. If its a sport model it wont even clear 16s the TRD OR package will clear 16s. So unless its a 5 lug it wont happen.

so what if I went with 295/75/16 Nitto Terra Grapplers instead? I have the TRD Off-Road and the wheels on there are 16's. would that work with say a three inch lift?

I have 265/75r16 terra grapplers and love them! good on road and off road. I think you would have to do the cab mount chop(not that hard from what i have seen) and trim the finders a little. and still may get some rubbing off road. But i think they would fit, most guys with 3” lifts get 285/70r16 or what ever.
