I currently have a access cab Tacoma with a prinsu accessrac. I am upgrading to a double cab and I am wondering if I can just transfer the rack over. It says on the Prinsu website that the dimensions are the same.

Im sure it would be to short to fit on the roof of a DC.

Won't fit as stated above. DC racks are longer and fortunately, does not require drilling into the cab for install unlike the AC racks.
If you dont mind the rack looking a tad small and likely some drilling for nut inserts, you can make it work. Personally, I would save the rack for possibly installing on a future shell or bed rack.
