get a secure grip on a Tekonsha P3?

It would sure simplify things for me if it does. Just ordered a tech deck. I am thinking with the X grip above the controller, rubber fingers pointing down...

I have no idea what that Tekonsha is, but I use an X grip on my motorcycle and snowmobile with my phone. Looked at specs and the Tekonsha is 3" thick? I think that is kinda too thick. The X grip is really designed to hold something thin like a phone or a tablet. It might work but not sure.
