Will An 02 Tundra Bed Topper Fit A '99 Tacoma

I found a bed topper for an 02 tundra on craigslist and its 2 hours away so I was wondering if a topper for an 02 tundra will fit my 99 Tacoma...It sounds like it might to me but if anyone has done it or knows if it works or not that'd be appreciated.

The Tundra is a full size pickup, while the Tacoma is a compact pickup. The beds are completely different.

The best advice I can give you concerning finding a topper to fit your truck is to know its bed dimensions first. If your truck is a typical xtracab from that time frame it probably has a 6ft, 2in long bed. Measure the length of the bed along the top of the bed sidewall from back of cab to end of bed wall. also measure the (OUTSIDE WIDTH) from one side to the other. Knowing these dimensions, when a seller gives you measurements of their topper you'll know if it will fit.

 

Just a note: if you have an extended cab a standard cab camper shell will not fit and vise versa. The standard cab had a flat rear while the extended cab had a more oblong rear.

Obviously a double cab shell won't fit, lol.

 

Now, a 2000 Tundra topper might fit on a 2017 or 2018 Tacoma... lol
