Another post had a user with lift blocks that created interference from the enrage pivot point out to the drum over the leaf. Cable was stretched over the leaf. Does this happen using aal for a 3 inch lift?
It doesn't seem like it would.
Seems like blocks will since it changes the distance between the axel and top of the spring as well as thicker leaf packs.
Something I hadn't thought about before until that other poster put up a pic of it.

Probably not, but not positive, I am not sure why people have so much ebrake trouble when mess in with leaf springs, what are you trying to accomplish?

OP, only thing that might give an issue, is the BPV. They sell a piece of steel to allow for lengthening it to accommodate lift.

I am looking to a future 3 inch lift and had seen a couple posts now with I yer fere nice of the brake cable after a block lift so it just got me thinking never seen anyone mention the e brake cable being an issue after the lift. I just replaced my leaf springs over the weekend with aftermarket that have 4 springs vs the factory 3. They are factory hight and there is no interference issue but there is about an inch and a half of space from the cable to the top of the spring so Putting a 3 inch block under the spring would wipe that clearance out and then some. It seems that any change in the distance from the axle leaf pad to the top of leaf "could" mess with that clearance.
The bpv bracket is an easy fix, but IF the brake cable clearance is an issue, a person would need to fab a longer bell crank or maybe fab an extender onto it to raise the connection point to the cable and then have to raise the pivot point in the middle of the axle too.
    Just thinking out loud here.

This was taken many many moons ago..... This is a photo of an AAL being installed on a 1st gen. You can see the ebrake cable on the top.

It's close, but you can 'pivot' things a bit to get more clearance if you need to. It was a 2.5" Procomp AAL.

So a bit of interference there albeit minimal. My OCD will force me to fix that. Lol

Yeah, I doubt you'll have any issues with just an add-a-leaf. A block lift adds a complete set amount of lift. An add-a-leaf just forces your stock leafs to re-arch for lift. Less actuall thickness in the add-a-leaf compared to the block...

    Check the TTORA Garage Section....
Your AAL should not require adjustment of the e-brake cable.
However, if you replace the leafs to an 8 pack or greater, there is a greater possibility that it may require the cable to me moved off the leafs.

Check out my solution, when I installs my Deavers.

I've got this same issue with my new leaf springs. I like your (and BajaTaco's) solution.

You said you had your extenders machined out of SS bar stock?? They look like aluminum in the pics. Did you have a shop do it, or do it yourself? Expensive?
