After a long stint working on armored trucks for the Army as a civilian, I've decided to go work for myself. While working at a Lexus dealership before, and driving a Lexus ES250 (Camry), I learned what good cars (Toyota brand) these are. Toyota has the lead market share in mid size pickups at over 100,000 units a year. The next best truck, the Ranger at 70k units.

If you're going to modify your Tacoma, why start with an already clean title? While there's a negative stigma with 'rebuilt' or 'salvage' titles, I want to stand out as a rebuilder you're not going to have problems with. Basicly, I wouldn't sell you something I would have my own mother drive. If your going to build a prerunner that runs the risk of damage anyway, start with a truck that's a theft recovery, or had a damaged bed? Building a rock crawler? Yeah talk about possible body damage. Why start with a good truck? You're just going to put a solid axle under the front anyway. Save yourself some dough for performance parts.

Other ideas- A standard cab with a 5 ft bed and a V-6/manual trans. Shave weight and wheelbase for better handling. Maybe you want a 4cyl with even better MPG and with a higher axle ratio. Towing a lot? Put in a little heavier spring and lower gears. Want a regular cab 4x4 with the 5 ft bed? Whatever factory combo you think is missing from the lineup, I can help.

You might be thinking "but what about financing and insurance?". You can get both. Financing is usually available with smaller local banks and credit unions. Insurance will provide you liability, but a lower collision payout because it's a rebuilt title.

What I don't plan on offering is fabricating performance options. If there is something that is already fabricated, I can work with that. Want Fabtech parts already installed? headers? big brake kit? Turbo and supercharger kits....case by case basis.

If you have any comments, questions, concerns....feel free to post them here.

Edit: For now my focus is '05-'08 models. As for the 'custom' ideas, I can branch out but would prefer to stay in this range.

I'm still in the process of setting up. I will be based outside Kingman, AZ. I've already Put a deposit and first months on a 3800 sq ft shop, and two trucks are enroute to the shop. For serious inquiries, I can start spotting trucks in auction. If you back out, it's no big deal as you have no money up front, and I will have trucks that I will rebuild in standard. As for disclosure, I will offer photos of both the donor and receiving vehicle. AZ requires this anyway to ensure there is no vehicle theft.

I'm in the process of moving from Sacramento, CA but as a single person I don't have too much stuff. Most of my stuff is still packed from working overseas. Should be up and running sometime in April or May.
