Yeah, I just got quoted 4 weeks on an A.R.E. DCU series up here in the Seattle area.

I'd rather find a cap that has a bit more curb appeal than the utility DCU series, but I can't sacrifice a ladder rack. Any recommendations?

V series is the poor man A.R.E. cap, but I think it's a good looking cap. The Z series it A.R.E. premo cap with frameless all glass windows. You can get a V series with a roof rack (for the ladder) for $1900. The cap itself is $1400, roof rack is $500. Or just get the cap and install your own roof rack and save $$.

I cancelled my Leer order and am ordering an A.R.E. instead. Their V series are shipping now and I was told I could have one in three weeks, give or take.

Got my V series A.R.E cap on today. I think it looks alright, the paint match is right on which is something I worried about with the Inferno color. Now I can haul my dogs around in the new truck, just wasn't having all the dog hair in the cab of my new truck, I got the screen protectors for it and the tilting front slider window. Got the cap at Toms Camperland in Surprise AZ total price was 1780.00. I do wish they would ask a customer first before riveting on their logo to the back of the window, I will promptly remove it, just looks tacky as hell with it on there. Took 20 days to arrive, pretty good turnaround time

2 different dealers here in WA told me today that they have the Z-Series available now. Said it would be here in 4 weeks if I order one.

    EDIT:
    I guess both were WRONG.
Was planning on ordering one today, and the dealer called A.R.E. and the Z-series is not yet ready for production, and there is a estimated start date of December 1.

Is your cap a little higher in the back than it is toward the front (raked)? Just curious because I will need to get something like this with a roof rack as I often have to carry 8', 10' & sometimes 12' ladders on it. I wouldn't want the front of the ladder hitting the cab. Looks great BTW.

Do you have a pic of inside sliding rear window? Curious the window meets up with the top part of the raised bed. The new bed height is almost flush with rear window leaving little space for window frames.

I've noticed the new Colorado toppers are raised near the end. Suppose it could make loading things easier.

I know it's all personal opinion, but I think it makes it look really goofy. I'm not a fan of angled rooflines
