Hey guys this week I am gonna go look at a 2001 Tacoma double cab v6. My biggest concern is my height. I am 6 feet and 8 inches. Would there be enough space to fit me?.

Welcome to TW!! I'd recommend test driving one. After the quality and looks of a 2nd gen, it is what sold me.

The tallest pre-2005 Taco owner I know of is 6' 7" tall and claims no problems. On the other hand, I know people between 6' 2" and 6' 4" who complain the pre-2005 cabin is too tight for them.

There's no way to predict 'fitment' - you need to sit in one and check it out for yourself.

I'm 6'4" & had the 1st gen, a 2003 it was a little cramped for me. But my 05 DC is great, plenty of room.

A buddy of mine is 6' 2" and always said the 1gen was too cramped. He was, however, pretty wide -- so I would attest his comfort level as an issue with width.

x5,986.2 on a test drive... (which I'm sure you're going to do anyway.)

If your 6' 8" you might want to get a second gen. I have an 03 dbl cab. I'm only 5'7" & I'm comfy the seat all the way back. I like to have a little extra room while driving so it's just perfect for me in that position. These trucks sure don't seem to have much room for a taller people......
