    Hello all.

I am getting ready to order the OME 887X/5100/LR UCA/AAL package from Headstrong. I've been told that factory wheels may rub on the UCA's and have spent the last few hours Googling to no avail.

So can someone tell me if my wheels will rub? I have the OEM T-Force 17" black wheels that come on GST TSS trucks.

If I'll need new wheels, I'll have to wait until budget allows to order everything. I was considering selling my wheels/tires to help pay for the new set if needed. What are those worth with approximately 5300 miles on them? Thanks in advance!

    you will be fine.

My stock TRD OR wheels and 265/75R16's clear my SPC lightracing uca's no problem. Thats with 5100's at the 1.75in setting on stock coils

It's not the wheels that rub, it's the tires. 285s will rub the UCA with stock Tacoma wheels...I'm not sure what wheels those are that you have, but if I were you I'd look up the specs and compare them to the trd sport or OR wheels. If you are going to run 285s you will need wheel spacers or aftermarket wheels with more backspacing, ideal is 4.5". If you don't plan to run 285s or bigger you should be fine.

I have the totally adjustable Total Chaos UCA's and I would buy them again and again. Especially if ever going to a 6" lift. No 4 position limitation and I can put my balls where they need to be. Ha Ha! Most def needed with my nine in the front. 18" wheels minimum and most shops don't want to mess with a truck that has spacers so I'd go with the 4.5 b/s

I'm not planning on changing tire size. I'm pretty sure that they are 265's but I will look when I go outside later.

Finally checked them. 265/65/17. Yeah, they're BFG Rugged Terrain's but there's no reason to replace them now as they are basically brand new. When the time comes I'll get something better.

I may have found a deal too good to pass up on wheels. This mod bug is a bitch! So, just to clarify... will a 16x8 wheel with -12 offset work? Of course it is 6 lug...

you need 4.5 backspacing and 0 offset at least. Double check as I am no wheel expert, but i believe the negative offset pushes wheel away from the mounting surface, much like adding a spacer

A little off subject but will 5100's be too short for the 887 ome? those will be like what 3.5" of front lift on what looks like a truck with no heavy winch bumper.

Hopefully you confirmed the package and that everything will work together by speaking with a person at headstrong?

No the Bilsteins are set at 0. All the lift comes from the coil.

And a heavy winch bumper is in my future plans anyhow. But yeah... If there is an issue I'm sure headstrong will stand behind their product.

Gotcha. Just seems strange to me they sell kits that don't match OME shocks with the OME coils. Saving a buck I guess.. Carry on.
