Will it rub?

I hear nothing but good things about the cooper stt max tires so that’s a very good choice if you go that way

 

Check out the pizza cutter tire thread, a lot of people seem to really like those 255s

 

My fronts rub w/ that size KO2. Only when fully locked and stuffed. But I have a negative offset on my Ray 10s (-12) Removing my OEM mudguards and might do a bit of forming with the heat gun and a little Dremel trim if necessary. Check out @Rob Daman Youtube channel. He’s got a video on the trim that is necessary. Very minimal.

 

Run that size on mine with zero issues but I’ll be going 255/85r16 next week.

In my research I’ve found that 17” wheels offer a larger variety, especially
in the C & D range.

Good luck choosing! TIRES are probably the part on your truck that literally everybody will have a strong opinion of what the best choice is.

Seems like its primarily an aesthetic preference anyway

 

Going with Mastercraft(Cooper) Courser CXT’s. Got a great deal on them and they’re similar to ST Maxx

 

Cooper S/T Maxx 285/75/16's...stock TRDOR suspension. No rubbing if you massage the inner fender plastics and trim one little spot.

 

From what I have read they are great for snow and less rolling resistance but other then that yeah for looks.

 

that and they seem to do amazing offroad in the mud and snow.

Not to derail, but what MPG are you getting?

 

17.5 ish. My bed is loaded with sleeping platform and drawer full fishin gear and personal protection gear.
