My dealer gave it to me in writing that anything up to a 3 inch lift will not void any warranty. I would talk to your dealer and get it in writing just in case.

Not really.... it was pretty hard to miss.. right inside the showroom door and inferno with everything not chrome was blacked out... even had window tint in the front sides. Crappy tires and crappy wheels and a block lift... Yawn. Was a TRD Sport with a $54K price tag on it. They were prolly embarrassed to show me cause my truck looks better and quality parts for about $4K over list price all said and done. It was like at least $20K over priced...

    Wait for it.......

My Sport was $32.5K with the "destination fee" + bed cover

With previous builds I've had the dealer attempt to blame powertrain or emissions issues on totally unrelated lifts, wheels, tires, and skid plates. Politely push-back a little and usually they will honor the warranty. It's a total pain sometimes but at the end of the day most of those mods don't cause issues, and they are looking to save the dealer labor-time. It helps to be polite, yet firm. Kind of the catch more flies with honey than with vinegar mentality.

I have owned (past tense) 7 different JK's and JKU's with their horrible 3.6L. ALL 2012's have bad AA heads, and a few 2013's made prior to July 26, 2012. Although my 2014, 2015 and 2016's had no head problems, I have heard from others that some of them fail as well. The problem is the design of the single exhaust port on the left head. Just got tired of spending my life in the dealer's service department getting warranty repairs. I now own a TRD Sport and will never buy another JK or JL again.

It's not too bad "looking" until you look at the window sticker... I was like woah... slowly and stealthfully stepped back away from the truck so no sales person would see me oogling.

When I bought my 2017 the finance person showed me a sheet with a bunch of extra parts to add to the truck. There was a couple of lifts on there. I jokingly asked if the dealer adding the lift would void the warranty. He laughed and had to go check. I was shocked when he came back and said that it would void the warranty. I said I’ll take my truck as is with no “extras”.

I've told this story before with my 2G.

Had dealer No. 1 deny me the rear spring TSB blaming my KOs. Went to dealer no. 2 when I had my highest tread snow tires on and the TSB was started. They stopped when the head service writer saw the ARB and how it dropped the front of the truck. Eventually lifted and had wonky shifting. I went to dealer No. 1 post-lift and they swapped the transmission for me. Didn't solve the wonky shifting but they did a transmission with a lift.

I was told by my Toyota dealer that anything “they” install will be warrantied and covered but they didn’t say that for me doing it myself. So if you’re concerned about voiding it then go through them. I didn’t, but fuck it lol

    same shit as everyone else
I had a warranty issue with my truck right after lifting it. My power steering rack started to leak after 14K. I had a toytec adjustable coilover system installed at the time. Took it to the dealership and showed them the leak. They looked at it and charged me $129 for an inspection and told me the lift caused the problem. Never fixed it. Now i'm at 100k and ten years later. The power steering still leaks slightly but so little its never been fixed. So yes it can void some things... I wouldn't stress it.
