Haul my long travel 250r around in the Tacoma, as well as the R6 with no problems.. but I'm picking up an old XS650 bobber build that has a 4+ hardtail (stock rake). Measured out 87" front tire to rear, under 8' with the tailgate down in the truck but Im just worried about keeping any weight on that tailgate since its already crushed (out of TSB warranty) from just unloading my quad, not too fond of the cardboard tailgates on our trucks. Anyone think Ill have any issues? Have fork compressing straps and tie downs, just worried about hanging weight on that gate... maybe use my spare as a bike stand? :( I need a Tundra

i'm really curious about this as well
i just picked up a 2010 Short Bed and i've got to haul my ZRX1200R
and i'm concerned about the weight on the tailgate

obviously i'm going to strap 'er down, and compress the front forks, but i don't want to destroy the tailgate or more importantly potentially damage my Kawasaki

i'll resign myself to trailering, but i'd rather not
