Will new springs fix taco lean?

When I bought my truck, the previous owner replaced the passenger side leaf spring because the old one had cracked. I just installed a driver side leaf spring from the exact same supplier and manufacturer and my truck still appears to be leaning left. The truck isn't lifted in any way.

The passenger and driver side leaf springs are installed roughly 3 weeks apart and are both brand new. I fully expected this to cure the taco lean but I've still got it.

Will replacing the coil springs help? What's a good source for OEM height/spec coil springs?

 

You can add a 1/4" top plate spacer on the driver's side with the stock top hat studs

 

I've put stock replacement Moog brand springs in the front of a 1st gen tacoma and in the rear of a 3rd gen 4Runner and never had a problem with them. But a lot of these trucks tend to lean anyhow. A top plate spacer might be a better solution.

 

I would suggest you measure from the frame to the floor before you spend a lot of money.

There is a discrepancy in mine measured that way but it is deal flat from the frame to the floor all the way around the parts are bolted on, the cab is bolted on the bed is bolted on. It kind of like doing a front end alignment by looking at it.

Hmmm I dunno... Shims seem like a way to cover up the problem rather than fixing it. $70 gets new Moog front springs which doesn't seem that bad. Or maybe this is the que to get a lift.

Anyways I'll measure the frame to ground first right after things defrost a bit around here.
