OP has an auto. trans. so all this talk of operator error is incorrect. Ages 3 yrs.+ for auto.'s

Seriously though, it's not hard to stall an auto. trans. vehicle with no torque.

It would have been nice to find out WTF was the issue with OP. There are tons of posts on TW where quys are pulling boats of decent size up various ramps all the time.

You guys gotta stop falling for these threads started by Ford and Fiat execs.

The clues you need to look for (not all three have to be in place, but all are red flags):

    1: Low post count.

2: They make no sense to anyone who has actually owned and driven a Tacoma.

3: OP usually disappears when there isn’t a huge chorus of “we hate our trucks.....we are trading for Rangers and Gladiators”.

4: (most important) OP usually has owned multiple 3G Tacomas and had many problems with all of them.

Well you won't hear much about Gladiators and towing until the diesel comes out because the Gladiator got destroyed on TFL Ike's Gauntlet and did meh on the 50 mile tow loop. The Taco beat the Gladiator in both tests. That video will post once editing is done. The Glad could not maintain 50 mph, much less 60 mph test target at times up the mountain.

Do you have a link or title to the TFL video? Can't find it on YouTube.
