    Any updates?

Dm93 pretty much cleared it up.
Check relay pin #1 for 12v when cranking.
If there is no power, crawl under and check to see if you have power coming out of the PNS (pin 5 - B/Y wire)

No continuity from pin five at the neutral safety switch two pin one at the start relay. Also no volts at pin five neutral safety switch.
I am still unable to find the correct size pin to try and repin the blue with black nuet. wire that had broken from the NSS connector.

How are you checking pin #5?
You can not check it unplugged.

If there is indeed no power to pin #1 of the relay.
The next step would be to see if you have power OUT of pin #5 from the PNS.

Also, since you say there is no continuity.
I’d jump over to the 2B connector and see what you have at pin #4.

I Tried separating the fuse/relay box to gain access to connectors 2a and 2b.Difficult to separate the two halves enough to give a good visual.
Yes I still need try and back probe pin number 5 at NSS.
I do read continuity to ground at pin #1 to god. and pin #2 to gnd.(red& yellow)at the neutral safety switch connector (disconnected).

Strange. Pin #2 YELLOW WIRE (not red/yellow) of the PNS is 12v from the 10A IG1 fuse?
It should not show continuity to ground?

    Let’s clear some things up.

Let’s forget about continuity for the moment.

    1. Do you have power to Pin #2 of the PNS while cranking? - Yellow wire
    -NOT the Red/Yellow
    2. Do you have power to Pin 1 of the Start Relay when cranking?
    .

Sorry. No voltage to #1 at start relay.
Sorry I had the colors incorrect at the neutral safety switch. But I will check again tomorrow for voltage at #2 yellow wire.

Back probe #5 (blk/y) with a pin to check for dcv while connected to NSS. as we turned the ignition to the start. 0 volts.
also checked for voltage at #2 yellow wire. meter read 12.4 vdc.

Ok. Pins 2 and 4 should have power when cranking. The power goes in from pin 4 out to pin 5.

The reason you needed to check 2 was because you said it was grounded. But I think you said you had the colors mixed up.

If pin #5 had power (violet wire)
And pin #4 does not, then it’s the PNS.

replaced the PNSS with OEM toyota. then also suspected the part was bad from stock so removed the PNSS and bench tested ok. reinstalled.
then suspected the connector P1 to the PNSS for high resistance or internal short. But i have all my indicator lights except for reverse because of the broken wire.

Will it start if you jump pins 4 and 5 of the NSS together?

Was finally able to get back to fixing the no crank issue on my tacoma. Solved the issue by replaced the electrical connector at the NSS.
Thank you all for the help and support.
