I have a 2005 dbl cab v6 4x4 6speed sr5. the rear leafs were not just crap, but they were worn and saggy/ bottoming out. I replaced the stock 3 pack with the General springs HD 4 pack. It raised the rear 2 inches from where it was (about 1 inch from where it probably was when brand new)

Now that the back can handle a payload like a truck, I am noticing how weak the front springs are, they may be just worn. the front bottoms out on these new orleans pot holes and the rake is just a bit much (headlights pointing to low)

    * Here is my question, will newer TRD springs fit my old truck? Are the TRD springs Heavier than my 4X4 base springs? Will they raise the front a bit and keep me from bottoming out?

all answers are welcome. including smart a$$ ones

    Getting there...
I can't say what the exact performance number differences are if there are any, but I believe that the parts should be a direct swap. About the stock TRD Bilsteins, I had them and I'm not sure if they were just getting worn out, but they were too soft for my liking. If you're looking to replace the struts, look into the OME or Bilstein 5100 parts. I'd say take a look at the 5100's because they're adjustable and you can keep them closer to stock height or level it out with your rear.

    Update

Yes, the 2014 trd coil/shock put the truck up where is should be.

They bolted right in, no problems
