I provide the link, not to draw everyone's attention to Alex Jones...I know many consider him waaay far out there....I tend to believe personally he's not as far out there as everyone thinks....but to call your attention to the consolidation of threats of nation-wide riots in case the liberal messiah doesn't win......threat of SHTF before December....

In this century, yes. But not always in the past.

Anyways, I don't think the election is going too cause many riots. I hope that the majority of Americans realize that no matter who gets elected, nothing is going too change. All the politicions do is set the compass instead of stearing the ship.

Christian's have been predicting the end of days, since the start day. And the Aztecs did not self-destruct, they were conquered by the Spanish.
Sort of, the Aztecs said their god Quetzalcoatl, would return from the east, and that he was white skinned and bearded, like the invading Spanish. He did not come to destroy them. However, recently it is now believed that these stories only exist after the Spanish came, not before.

Also before we get too deep into this... the Central American natives you're all looking for are the Mayan, not the Aztec. The so called coming end is based off the fact that the Mayan long count calendar ends it's cycle.

When I'm actually in front of a computer, instead of my phone. Ill try too find the source I had saying they predicted they would be destroyed.

From what I remember on this subject, the next cycle is supposed to be one of spiritual enlightenment.

The early Christians were not too popular among the pagan societies in which they developed. There is a school of thought that says that the end of times as predicted in the Old Testament is a story that was written to mainly give hope to the faithful about Rome getting it's comeuppance.
As early Christianity developed it had a terrible PR problem, they were not well liked and governing societies tended to show their displeasure by slaughtering them in droves. I could make a case to say that the concept of martyrdom being portrayed as being a good thing could stem from the fact that those Christians didn't really have a choice as they were getting killed anyways. Why not say "hey when you get murdered by whoever, you're gonna go straight to heaven so don't feel too bad". IMO quite clever actually.
There is a book I read called "The Fingerprints of the Gods" that makes a case for a very early and advanced society that brought myths and mathematics to the Olmecs (pre Mayan) and the early Egyptians (among others) at the same time. It also states that the Mayan calender notes a shift in the earth's position (hence a shift in the celestial bodies as viewed), as being a regular happening every 25,000 years IIRC.

Both theories seek to explain how very early and (at the time, primitive), societies (seemingly), suddenly developed advanced mathematical and celestial scientific abilities. That it doesn't make sense. I would add that there is a precedence in history that societies would advance and then fall and the knowledge they gained would be lost, ie, the Greeks and the Romans and the onset of the Dark Ages.

The Author's name is Graham Hancock, interesting book, came out in the 80's IIRC, there's a bunch of trippy theories in it.

I'm betting it will be the same as Y2K. Absolutely nothing.lol On Y2K, I was driving a tractor trailer and due to the warehouse being behind schedule, I was on I-87 in NY. Midnight came and went and I never knew it. Bunch of kooks out there.

IMO, I think a case can be made that early societies could have developed these concepts mainly because the shifting from a hunter-gatherer to agricultural based societies demanded the development and application of mathematics and celestial observation to successfully raise crops. You needed to know when to plant and harvest and when the rains would come. And since not everyone was busy hunting and gathering anymore, the smarter of them had time to figure a lot of things out. Math is universal and it probably was quickly applied to a written language, trade and construction techniques.
