will struts off a similar year 4runner fit a taco?

    '97 4x4 taco xtra cab 3rz/5spd
    HBS leveling kit, 31x10.50 mudders, header/imco exhaust, rear billies, LR ucas, home brewed onboard air, cb radio
    I got a blown strut on my 97 taco and my buddy is installing a lift on his 98 4runner so he'll have some extra struts and I was just wondering if they'd swap over from the 4rnr to the taco.

    You can interchange Tacoma and 4 Runner front shocks, but not rear shocks.
