Will the tpms sensors in my 2nd gen wheels fit 3rd gen trd wheels?

Recently purchased trd wheels for my 2nd gen Tacoma part #
(PTR2035110BK) and was wondering if the stock tpms sensors in 2nd gen wheels will fit the 3rd gen trd wheels.

 

If your original 2nd gen wheels were alloy wheels and you are swapping the TPMS to a 3rd gen alloy wheel you will be fine. Steel to alloy might be a different story but I don't know for sure.

 

TPMS sensors typically last 7-10 years. If your old sensors are getting close to 7 years old I'd take this opportunity to just buy new ones. You can get new ones for $15-$20 each and it doesn't cost anything to install and program them when you're getting the tires mounted. If you wait until they go bad you'll either have to pay extra to get them installed, or just wait until you buy tires again.
