Disagree all you want. You are wrong. The mark up that Toyota puts on replacement parts is ridiculous. Just because Toyota slaps their TRD brand on something doesn't improve the quality.

How did you get these shocks direct from Toyota? What dealer? I need to order some.

The rods are too long. This is how Tacoma ones look like (mine):

What year of Tacoma did you put those on and do you know where they are sold?

They’re out there .... as per usual, you need to provide a Pro VIN but expect to pay close to 3K. I’d suggest looking for a low mile set off a Pro.

I bought them from a member on here. He took them off at around 1000 miles from his 2019 Pro and they went on to my 2019 OR. Very pleased with the outcome. The best part, my dealer serviced and performed a sensor recall on my OR without any problems, even gave me a free alignment for which I was willing to pay, go figure.

That they aren't long enough for the droop of a Dakar

And by running a Dakar which gives 2-3"of lift total your shock is only good for 1"of lift. Meaning you will have very limited down travel.

Very cool .... Which dealer was that? Is it safe to assume you have a Pro grille too?

Ah okay. Good deal. Maybe I’ll swap out to the icons I have in the garage.

When I bought my 4runner pro wheels, they also required a VIN. I just looked online for a suitable match and used that number. This is an easy thing to get around.

That't not even that far. Depending on what time you did it the LA <-> OC part might take as much time as the rest of it haha.

Yes, Pro grille and Sema wheels. I am in San Fran area, so it'll be quite a drive for you to service it here :D
