Ah, I see, yes the trashbag is useful, but if you're in a Tacoma, you're making a little one. It isn't just made to go offroad.

None here. Married guy with no kids. A few times a yr I do have to move plaques/trophies and while rain isn't ideal, it isn't a death sentence. Granted no bed cover means I can't leave my truck alone, but even a double cab wouldn't hold all the stuff I move inside..

I did hit a tad bit of rain while camping last yr but camping gear getting wet isn't a problem.

I avoid contact with people as much as possible, I park where nobody will see it to avoid people trying to talk to me about it.. Or hitting/stealing/touching.. Drawing dicks on the hood
Also The process to even start making a little one is not one I go after, or one that goes after me. Pre running and crawling are currently its only purpose

Sounds like denial to me cause you have at least one of the issues i mentioned above, which is actually the worst of the issues with any pickup truck :D

Seriously, everything has pros/cons. Many times I wished I could go somewhere but couldn't cause I had some expensive shit on the bed and couldn't leave the truck alone. If those situations are not frustrating to you as a reg cab owner, then you and I have very different opinions on the subject for sure :D

I've been driving a reg cab for 17 years now. still love my truck from day 1, even more now that it is mostly used off road. but it has its limitations.

Man, laugh a little, your seriousness for a 17yo is making me nervous lol especially for someone living in Cali, live a little, im joking. But seriously, are you contemplating buying a 3rd gen and throwing away the love for that 2nd gen 4x4 beast? First and foremost, anyone who buys a regular cab will at some point question doing so instead of getting an access or double, it's a fact. Literally anything can come up that makes you regret getting a regular cab, no offence to regular cab owners at all, you guys could literally build an amazing trick truck for the money you saved not getting a double cab if that's your intention for sure and it would be awesome, but as a truck to move things, it isn't the best option. my dcsb isn't big enough at times, even if i dont have people with me, i'm constantly packing up the back seats with everything i can't fit in the bed. I would never ever buy a regular cab, it's just not worth it. I dont think Toyota will ever make a third gen regular cab, the the tacoma is already a small truck as it is. Besides that the 3rd gen feels much smaller to me interior wise than my 2nd gen. It feels like they lifted the floor board and shortened the seat bracket height just to keep the same seat to ceiling height as the 2nd gen, but decrease leg room. Reminds me of the time I sat in my friends lifted ford mustang lol, I want a commanding seat position, not a laid back sports car position.

I don't think I could ever trade mine for a 3rd gen, even if they did make a 3.5 v6 RC, just not a fan of the way my dads 17 4Runner drives . Definitely understand the size problems though, even my moms Rv can seem small at times.

Life ain't fair, sometimes I wish death would come faster lol but we move on and (insert Chevy slogan) find new roads. If you want a regular cab so bad, buy a DC, take it to a shop and have them reverse limo that shit. Hope and pray it comes out clean.

I'll just buy an F150 XL w/ 8ft bed then. I have an access cab already.

Just to make clear, an access cab is not a regular cab, if you want a RC bad, trade with a RC owner. And if you want that Ford, better hurry, 2020 looks to be the cutoff for Chevy and Ferds RC run.

I'd rather have a access cab short bed. Same short wheelbase as a regular cab, but has room for stuff and small people.
