Will these 285'a fit?

I'm ordering new tires and wheels tomorrow for my '06 TRD OR 4x4. I'm getting Dick Cepek DC-2 16x8 wheels and Dick Cepek mud country tires. My truck had a 2 in lift when I got it and I was gonna get the 265/75/16 but really like the look of the wider tire. So, would the 285/75/16 fit ok with the 2" lift? I know I'd need at least 4.5 backspace on the wheels. Thanks.

 

If you are okay with trimming they will fit fine.

 

I called tire rack to check on the wheels. The wheels I want has a 4.06" bs. I'm reading that I need a 4.5" bs to clear 285's. Is that because of the uca's? I really like those wheels and want 285's if possible.

 

Need 4.5" to clear the brake calipers.

 

Tire rack says the 16x8 -12mm offset and 4.06 bs will fit my truck. It's the same wheel I was gonna go with either 265 or 285. I'm getting mixed answers.

 

Smaller back spacing equals more negative offset, equals wheels stick out further. So you would be fine with clearing the UCA, it may cause more rubbing though.
