What is the largest tire I can run without having any large issues or having to make any mods?

No, you cannot fit a 15" rim on a 2nd Gen 6 lug. The largest size tire without issue is a 265/75-16 or equivalent.

Steering knuckle won't allow for a 15" rim.

265/70/r16 so none of these numbers directly translates to the tire diameter.. 30" etc?

    Are 265/75-16 noticeably larger than 265/70/r16 ?

No, you can squeeze a 285/75 16 in there but you will have some rubbing. You will also need wheel spacers or new rims with 4.5" backspacing or less.

And if you want to know what a metric tire size is "english",

    use this.

    Looking
a 31 10.5 15 is the same exact tire that some stock pretty much. but you'd want to run a 265/75/16. And the set up looks nice
