    If you are going to go with HID, do a projector retrofit.
    The plug-in kits are dangerous and illegal.

    Many claim that they are, but I've gone through the FMVSS and have not found anything other than specifications that must be met.

    But even if they are, installed and adjusted properly, they are not a hazard to other drivers.
    Safety is the main thing.
