The mistake @Blackout14 is making was that he may have missed the fact I started the discussion asking if Stock 265/65/17 tires will fit on TRD PRO wheels, which are 7" wheels, to which someone gave a face palm, like it was a stupid question. Then I mentioned I switched to FN FX PRO wheels which are 8" wheels. Someone still thinks 265/65/17 and 7" wheels are a good idea. He doesn't realize his rims are 7.5". So in his mind he is right. Some how 285/75/16's got brought into the logic. Amazing.

Okay lets start over and give a new question so we can all be in the same boat. What is the question at hand right now?? Will a stock 265/65/17 inch wheel fit a TRD Pro 17x7 inch wheel as a stock Sport wheel is 17x7.5???

Stock tires, no issues. actually that half inch is gonna make the tire look beefier.
    It protects more the rims.

    Case dismissed...

    I hold no beef.
When I asked the original question, "will these rims fit 2016 Sport tires" in the link provided I had no idea what size tires the truck came with. They come with 265/65/17, I found this out later.
I only brought up the face palm up because at the time and more so now, it wasn't needed. Either offer help or move on.
I bought the TRD PRO wheels and sold them at my cost so no loss there. I see lots of people asking if those will fit with stock 2016 tires that come a Sport and in my opinion, I wouldn't recommend it.
In hind sight I should have left your face palm alone and just ignored it. Sorry for the disruption.

I will admit I shouldn't have used the face palm. Internet interaction is just to easy not to think sometimes. I apologize sir, and good luck with your 16

Sooo, why wouldn't you recommend it?

Because I can't find a tire that is 265/65/17 that is recommends being installed on a 7" wheel. Like others posted, you can make it fit, most likely with out problem but if I'm replacing my wheels at an added cost, why buy something then put oversized tires on? I ended up buying wheels that won't have that problem.

FWIW, anyone interested in TRD PRO wheels, I'd recommend at least 265/70/17 over the stock tires that come on the Sport.

No problem, I should not have even brought it up. It just made a mess of things by me doing that.

Glad you posted that pic. I was throwing around the idea of moving my stock Toyo's to my FN FX Pro wheels which look very similar and save a few bucks for now.

I'll throw this out there too: I run 315's on my trd beadlocks without issue. The 315's are very wide for the 7.5" wheel but hold a bead very well and protect the wheel when wheeling. They also are wearing nice and even. I trust my families lives riding in our truck.

My buddy runs 14.5 wide tires on his Dodge one ton, and his rims are only 11 wide... Looks amazing.

I'm honestly just trying to get educated here. Could I assume it would be safer to run an oversized tire if it is an "E" rated over a "C" rating? In my case I'm looking at "C" rated KO2's at this point.
I'm going to ditch the factory tires and wheels.

There is nothing unsafe about an oversized tire within reason... The tire shop I deal with locally has a large chunk of the market for serious 4x4s here and they're the ones who put the 14.5 wide tires on my buddy's rims... They're comfortable doing that because they're experienced with oversize tire applications, and know what is reasonable.

I'm no tire expert, but most chains of tire shops don't employ experts either. You gotta find the guys who don't just punch your vehicle into the computer and tell you the oem size is all they can sell you.

All that said, in my knowledge and experience, if you're going to a tire that is only a few mm wider or narrower than the ones "recommended" for the rims, there's no issue so long as you have a proper tire and not something with low profile sidewalls that won't allow the tire to sit safely on the bead

What did you/they have to do to get the TPMS sensors to work with these wheels?

Awesome. I know it has probably been posted 15 times on this site but I looked for 4 hours for an answer to that last night. Thanks for the reply.
