I have a 2001 prerunner all stock. I found a set of stock 15" rims with tires and I am thinking about buying them so that I can have a set of street tires and a set of off road tires. My current rims are 16" and I am not sure the 15" will fit around the rotors/drums. Anyone know the answer?

They are stock Tacoma rims off a like year 4x4. My only concern is if they will fit over the rotors and drums or if the trucks with the 15" rims have a smaller diameter brake system to accommodate the smaller rims

Will the seller let you test fit one?

Well I would imagine so if he really wants to sell them :) I am just trying to save some time and avoid spending half an hour swapping a tire in the pouring rain. So what is a good price for stock rims and what can I get a set of budget aftermarket rims for?

Can you go to Google and search for Images and post a pic of the rims you are thinking about buying? This will help us answer your questions.

    Yeah.
Are you sure those are 15"? The second set looks like the 16" ones, first ones I don't remember (had them on my wife's old 4Runner).

98tacoma27 Thank you. That is what I was looking for. Didnt find that one on my search.

TenBeers I have not seen them in person but the first are listed as 31x10.5-15 the second is actually 16". Assuming the offset is the same I believe those would work just fine. So what do you all think either of those sets are worth? Rims only as the tires all need replaced. Also should I get the 15" or 16"? Remember truck is stock hight and It will be atleast a year before I even consider a lift.

    Yeah.
I got a set of 16's like your second picture with good Coopers for $100 locally, but that was a smokin deal. Since both will work, I would go for whatever you can get cheaper. I kind of like the 15's, but they may be a bit more rare. A quick check to see what they are going for on eBay indicates they are worth about $200 to $300 for the set.
