Winter is easy. Roll up windows usually enough. Occasionally run a 12v heating pad off portable power if it’s real cold.

normally dog stays home when over 90degrees but my home ac is out So he’s coming with me

What is being done here is exactly why the municipality in which I spend my winters (desert area) passed an ordinance that makes it illegal to leave any animal in a vehicle for any period of time, unattended, any time of year.

How on earth anyone can believe that blowing hot air onto an animal in a hot environment is going to do anything for the animal is beyond me.

The convection oven post is bang on.

I will never cease to be amazed at the things people will do; especially when they have no idea of the science behind what they are doing.

    Sad really.

    Regards,

    Jim

Cool setup. That said, not sure where you are located, but if it’s hot (>80), I’d leave the truck idling with the AC on. Naturally hard on the gas budget, and you may have theft concerns; but much better for your dog. Interior will heat up really fast to well over 110 - it doesn’t take long - less than 1 hr.
