I have a 2007 prerunner with stock suspension and I'm planning on getting 17×8.5 motegi wheels on 265/70r17 toyo open country at3. Will they rub? Sorry if this was already asked I'm new to this website and don't know how to navigate it.

Ewww, most likely rub. My sons 08' 4x4 has 0 offset on some 17x8(?) TRD rims. I beleive he's running 1" spacers. (That would make 25 offset). I understand 4.5" BS is max. My 08' 5 lug XRunner has o.e.m. 18x8 with 30mm os

Would u recommend getting the spacers or going down to a smaller size tire. If so would it be 265/65r17?

I have similar sizes but in 16, fit on stock suspension, but mine rub/bumped, anytime turning and hitting the slightest bump, like turning into my driveway.
    265/75/16 Wheels: 16x8.5, 4.51 backspace

I installed 5100s at 1.75" to level it and that completely removed any rubbing.

You may have some slight rub at full lock. Probably pull mud flaps if you haven’t already. The cab mount may be close. Usually that tire with 17x8 0 offset is fine. Do not add a spacer as it will only make the rub worse.

I've seen 5100 mentioned alot and leafs but i don't know anything about suspension. What do I need to get mine leveled. Do I just need the 5100 front and rear shocks?

If your stock currently. Yes you could 5100s in the front on the 1st or 2nd clip depending on how much rake you have. You could put 5100s in the rear for a slight upgrade shock over stock. Also remember the Bilsteins are digressively valved so they are a little stiff.

What about 265/65r17 tires. I'm currently eyeing some used duratracs in that size since my wheels are coming sooner than expected and I need 17" tires asap now since I currently run 16s

It will help. Still will need a good alignment with caster the high end. I think the 70 will work with a good alignment set up or if you put the 5100s in front set to level the truck.

Cool! Thank you very much for the help. I went with some used 165 65r17 duratrac tires. It was a good price and close by.

Just looked at my sons 08 with TRD bead lock 17"'s with 275 70 17. I believe they are 0mm OS with 1" spacers. They do stick outResized_20230509_080754.jpg
