The main reason I’m asking is iv read something about the front break calipers hitting the rims, the truck came with the 17s but now has big offset 20s and I’m tired of the tires sticking out so far and slinging dirt down my truck

2nd gen 6 lugs and 3rd gen use identical brakes.... and both come with 16's.... needless to say all the rims will be interchangeable.

Where you had to worry is on the 4runner's with bigger brakes that required 17s or larger

3rd gen TPMS sensors won't work on a 2nd gen truck.

Maybe it only works the other way around. My 2nd gen TPMS fit in my 3rd gen wheels.

3rd gen TPMS sensors use a 7 digit code. 2nd gen sensors use a 6 digit code. 3rd gen will not work on 2nd gen.
