Looking at picking up a set of the TRD Pro Coils from another member, but I'm running 5100s. I'm guessing that they most likely wouldn't work, since they're probably meant to be used with the with larger Fox shocks that are on the Pro... but I want to make sure before I pass up the opportunity. If they would work, would I get any lift out of them?

    Here's the part: https://parts.lakelandtoyota.com/p/...WD/Coil-Spring-Front/15946016/4813104B50.html

    Thanks!

How much are they selling them for? I have a set I need to put on the market after swapping out for the Eibach upgrades.

didn't really discuss the price, just needed to know if they would work before getting there.

I’ve never seen any published specs on the trd pro coil springs, But I did read a post recently saying they are not compatible with the bilstein 5100 shocks. Consider this to be rumor.

According to someone who offered to buy my springs: "Yeah TRD Pro springs will fit on any 3rd gen shock. I’ve seen videos of them putting them on off-road bilstein shocks and on bilstein 5100s." Without seeing the videos myself, probably safer to still consider this a rumor.

No disagreement. For all I know the PRO springs are the same coil spring painted red. There is surprisingly little info on the stock coil springs.

The Pro springs would fit another 2.5" shock not sure if that applies to the one in question

Edit: just looked up the 5100 and they're 2" so no I don't think they'll work

thanks for the input guys, your suspicions are echoing mine, so unless I can get confirmation that they will work, I'll assume they wont.

Ask them to measure the bottom opening of the spring, if they can and then try and measure the spring seat on the 5100s. You’ll also need to see if the spring bottoms are the same. A lot of the 2.5 springs are flat on top and bottom, fox, king etc. Oem, Ironman and a few other springs are rounded on the bottom. These can’t be mixed without some type of adapter.

At the end of the day, is there any reason for me to keep them and am I morally obligated to make sure he is certain they will fit? :anonymous:

in my mind, its up to the buyer to verify fit, not the seller. I imagine most people would agree. If you sold something to someone and they got mad at you or asked for a refund because it doesn't work or fit for them, thats their problem.

That's how I see it. I never even came close to telling them they'll fit.
