It's actually more space - 16GB - but you need to consider how much crap MS has to support these days. "I want my 12 year old video card to work the moment I plug it in, I don't care if it hasn't been supported since DirectX 7 and the company bankrupted in '99." (for Mac guys, let me know how you like installing Snow Leopard on a Power Mac G3 Beige).

But yes, the thing hauls on startup. It's up and running before I can walk down the stairs in my house.

I can't be the only one who's happy that people have to dump their nasty old computers to be Win7 compliant.

I would, but I don't have a practical purpose for it. Games take less hassle to run on Windows, I don't have a purpose for a home server at the moment, and I work for a Microsoft Dynamics NAV consulting house.

multiple reasons. i have one of the newer macbooks with the large track pad. one of the features i use pretty much every minute that i'm using my computer is Expose. on the track pad its just a 4 finger swipe up or down to clear your screen or bring all you windows up. its got an organic feel and is very smooth and organizes your window sizes based on the "importance" of the program. (for example the firefox dowload window is small and the actual firefox page is large) but the new version makes all windows the same size and its laid out in a grid manner. its clunky and not smooth and reminds me of a microsoft program. i hate it. and since i use it literally every minute i'm on my computer it was a deal breaker for me. In addition, i have never had to reboot my mac due to freezing. but a few days after i installed snow leopard my computer froze and i had to reboot. i like the new safari and the new itunes and quicktime and the fact that it takes up less hd space. but overall it felt rushed and bulky. it felt too much like a windows machine. so i uninstalled it. i was and am actually pretty dissapointed in mac for putting it out in its current state

    Nothing yet, brand new!
I recently upgraded to Linux/Ubuntu 9.10. Very fast and stable so far. The new GUI for the software repository is a plus. Running Rythmbox for Ipod and FSpot for photo/imaging. Also have banshee installed for music server use. The desktop is one slick item. I can flip and rotate as needed.

I was able to score windows 7 ultimate from the university for 10 bucks so i did a straight upgrade from vista (didnt have to erase my hard drive or anything...it was nice). ive had 7 for about 3-4 weeks now. its a hell of a lot better than that p.o.s. vista. so much faster!

I too really like ubuntu, but being a pc gamer and being very dependant on a windows operating system, I had to switch back. But when I have a friend thats needs a reinstall of windows I will offer them the option of linux, and then I never hear from them again and dont have to worry about fixing anymore problems.
