I thought I had some up in here, but mine is on the passenger side. I believe where most people have their cruise control equipment. Mine doesn't have cc, so there's just a big blank spot

Picked up a Wildernest. Going to be a fun project I think.

First step, removed the tent in order to make a new one. With the mildew and the sagging, this one is just a bit too far gone.

No, I don’t have those kinds of skills haha

I found a company that makes replacement tents for pop up tent trailers, and they will make me a replacement for the Wildernest

$1275-$1300. But if it lasts me another 20 years, I think it’s a good value

So now that you decided to part this truck out...then sell it..then keep it...

How did the sound deadening work out?

    Haha, touche.

The tiles and closed cell foam made a huge difference in cutting down panel vibration/harmonics. The doors close like a BMW now, and make a very satisfying thud. The door speakers sound much better, and I find that I don't have to turn the volume up as high to hear people when I talk on Bluetooth.

I did not do mass loaded vinyl though, so I did not get a huge drop in ambient/road noise. My BFG's are down to 50ish% now, so they're starting to get louder as well.

It was worth what I paid in materials, but I don't think it would be if I had paid any more, or if I had paid someone else to install it. Maybe one day i'll order up some MLV, and see how that does.

With your reg cab, I don't think you have the rear wall carpet right? That alone makes a big difference.

No I have the carpet in the back.

I just put the nest on it too and that dropped the rear window noise a bit.

Was curious if it helped drop road noise due to the cab being so small and there is just a lot of glass by your head in a reg cab. Not a huge priority for me to do it to mine yet. I drive an a hour every day in it for my commute so at some point would be nice if it was a big quieter.

Good to hear that it made some improvements though!
