I was wondering. I used to see it (you) all the time while I was driving around for work. Glad to hear though.

Hey guys, I’m not sure if this is the right place to post this but I’m trying to find somewhere to go drive off-road close by, within an hour or two of here? I’ve driven at the beach nearby Fort Fisher, but in my opinion it wasn’t worth the money to only drive for a couple of miles of beach. Any chance anyone could point me in the right direction so I could find some trails or the like?

@EastCoastTaco803 That sounds awesome! What trails did you guys go on? I’m trying to find some beginner level trails to get into this and learn. It’s going to be just me and my gf, with a pair of Maxtraxx and a shovel. I’m still saving to get some more recovery gear so I’m trying to take it easy till I can afford a winch and some related tools

They are all beginner trails in there with big mud holes and water holes. It's the beach it's all flat there pretty much. Some of those mud holes are deep though so don't just assume it's ok to go into them. We burried my buddies samurai on 35s half way up the doors in one. I bombed my old 92 Tercel all through there back in the day.

Last time I was in Croatan I found a dead animal carcass in a trash bag (or at least I hope it was an animal). It was sketchy

@BlueOverTaco like everyone else said, it’s pretty beginner. i would just make sure you have some that you can pull you out. some of the mud holes get hella sketchy but it’s a good time

All depends on what you get. It's a $600 upcharge for installation above pricing out what you want on their website. That's what it was for @Schwartz and that's what mine is going to be. So what I want on the website is 3500 installed is 4100.

Low range in Wilmington. Call Josh. Good dude and fair prices. I forget how much my regear was on my wrangler but it was right above or below 2k

Anyone in Raleigh area got a Carista odb2 device for iOS I can use? Will pay to use it.

Scamazon's website is NOT letting me complete checkout. I'm going insane over here.

    Thanks.

I started working from home, so now I went from about 12K miles a year on my truck down to about 6K (been using the wife's Yukon as family car). Positive equity is never a bad thing! I still have about 69K miles on my 2014 TRD Sport. But with the economy in good shape (coronavirus notwithstanding), I need to spend some cash on my truck. I'm about due for brakes, so if any of you can recommend a good, respectable mechanic in ILM who does brakes, lemme know. My entune radio is also crap, so I want to upgrade my head unit at some point. That damn thing seems to only be good for SiriusXM/FM/AM! Forget Bluetooth! And, I'm thinking about a lift, but don't know where to start there. I don't want to go nuts, just something noticeable...but not crazy.

Anyway, I did get a Freeman Park pass for 2020...but after last years mess with beach erosion...I'll probably also get a Fort Fisher pass also. I'm just north of Snows Cut, so I was able to get onto Freeman Park pretty early without losing my mind. And there's nothing better than grabbing some sammiches at Jersey Mikes and having an evening on the beach there with the kids and wife during the week as it's usually quiet. We made the most of it, especially after long days at work, it's the best!

Figured I also share someone who obviously had no business being, with (I think) his new Camry, in Freeman Park (sometime last year):

    Whoops.

if you plan on doing light wheeling and want to throw some bigger tires on, I personally did Icon Stage 2 with Freedom Off road UCA and i’m running 285/70/17 and so far I love it and really enjoying the ride. as far as getting a new head unit, depending on the budget the Halo9 I think it’s called is what I see most people upgrade to. it’s really nice but it’s pricey. unfortunately I can’t help with mechanics but hopefully you get an answer soon!
