Mine did the same on the 2nd gen. Same on the F250. I think it’s just the design. Has to dip below the top of the tailgate to have a spot to Velcro closed

Gotcha! I think i was thinking about the best top. That one sits flush with the top of the tailgate. Or at least that one does. Anyhow I love the soft toppers and I’m ready to find a good deal on one 67AEFAC4-6059-45BE-B320-D3E01A31338E.jpg

I have 2 jerry cans mounted against the front of my bed, will the softopper mounting be an issue or do they only mount to the side tracks?

They mount to the side tracks

There are three optional snaps or you can use velcro that secure the front inside flap to the front inside of the bed

20200808_163150.jpg Another beautiful weekend at fort fisher. They let everyone in for free today because one of the office workers tested positive for the wuhan virus.

Also...does does anyone know who is driving grey 3rd gen with TacomaBeast vinyl on bed with orange traction boards on roof rack? He revved at me while I was driving through monkey junction chic-fil-a parking lot lol

Thanks buddy, it's a little claustrophobic compared to my old snug top but it's so light and rolls up. Looks badass and works for what I need it to do. Tired of begging my 5'5" wife to help me lift a 300# campershell off a 4 inch lifted truck.

Did you end up going with the 2nd or 3rd gen model? I'm sure your wife appreciates that. Lol

I went 2nd gen because I didnt want the chance of not being satisfied with the results.

Ah man no problem! I’d love to see some more pics. I’m ready to get one on my truck as well. I need to weld on my spare tire carrier back on too. Can’t believe I took it off.
