Has anyone ever drove through Angola bay or holly shelter game lands? I have heard twice now that they have some gnarly paths? Neighbor who hunts says they're only open during hunting season. I am jonesing for something other than Fort Fisher

I’ve driven through holly shelter and it’s just flat dirt roads. Never found anything exciting out there

Croatan has some mud holes at least.. aside from that you’ll have to drive to URE

That's what I figured since nobody has noted it.

Brown mountain is about the same drive as URE. Plus, you are a short distance to Wilson creek for some camping

Brown Mountain OHV has 1.2 truck trails, the rest is ATV/Moto. There is also Patriot offroad park in Valle Crucis now, that is all I know of it.

Sucks because even if I got back into fast cars they're arent any racetracks around here either. Road racing that is, still would have to drive to Jacksonville for dragstrip.

Let me rephrase that, every mod I do would probably help me in an offroad situation; but not driving down i40. Which is what the truck does.

I like! I also like the prinsu racks with the built in thin light bar. I really Don’t think the prinsu’s for an access cab look that great. I know this sounds crazy bc i just got my softopper not long ago buuttttt.... I have been tossing around the idea to get a white camper shell so I can get a full rack on the cab and shell, Or build a rack over my softopper and hopefully it will be about even with the cab rack. I also have been wanting to take advantage of the Black Friday sell on the Cali raised ditch lights.

But before I do anything I need to get gears actually. My truck is pretty heavy and with adding 35s I can tell a bit of a difference in power loss, and over the summer I had some high’ish trans temps on hilly back roads, and on the trails.

Yeah I know you said before you were on 35s and stock gears, that must suck because I'm on 34s and my engine is not too happy about accelerating at higher speeds.

I like my softtopper but it's just that: soft. I miss my snugtop but it was so cumbersome to remove
