Are there any cons of installing a winch and bumper on my new Tacoma concerning the weight of both the bumper and winch.

I mean, yeah, the weight is a concern. Depending on which bumper you go with, you'll need to upgrade your front suspension.

You can always go with a slimline over a full bumper to save weight 150# vs 300#

    That depends....
Do you plan to upgrade the suspension? Do you want a full size bumper or a “slimline” bumper? Steel or aluminum?

I installed a full steel bumper and winch (203 lbs. total according to the websites) a week or two before I upgraded the suspension. After the install, the front end only dropped 1/2”, but it was really squishy. No doubt it would’ve settled some more though.
