Random question. But I have a lot of stupid friends who find it funny to keep pulling my winch line out and wrapping it around my truck. Anyone know some form of a line lock? (I have synthetic)

About the only way you could do this is to fabricate a cover the covers the whole spool.

Any other lock a sharp knife soon allows the Synthetic line to be unspooled again

    Thimble or hook?

Thimble, bike cable around bumper, padlock through thimble. Hooks are usually held in place with a removable pin. Pull the hook, padlock through the cable loop.

If someone cuts the line just to mess with you, they owe you some $$$

Defrost mirrors, compass/temp display rear view mirror, rear wiper on camper shell, trans.cooler.
I don't know what style winch you have? Hidden behind the bumper with only a small slot or the more exposed drum type.
I'd take a wedge shape of hard plastic to shove in by the cable and pad lock it to the bumper.
Or get a winch or homemade cover with grommets you can padlock.
Maybe an old section of Semi tread found along the road? Cut it neatly to slide over the cable drum with a hole for a padlock? A thick piece of rubber like that is hard to bend and pry on bare handed. So might discourage them.

Nex thing you know you're pissing in their liquid laundry soap, baking shit in their oven at 350° and rubbing toothbrushes on toilet rims.

You could replace the freespool handle on your winch with something that would require a tool to open, like a giant torx bit or a wheel lock.
