Looking for help or recommendations I’m looking at purchasing this winch mount. One think I’m concerned about is removing the crash bar is this something that can’t be put in using this winch set up? Also would I need to remove my light bar or would it be able to stay and be out of the way? Thank you for any help or recommendations!

I had to remove the crash bar. I had to modify my hidden light bar brackets to get them to work.

Here are some things I learned. Yes, you have to remove the crash bar but usually the bumper you are replacing it with is stronger than the aluminum bar you are removing. I've never seen that winch mount you posted but I would not install it. The fairlead is angled down quite a bit and if you actually use your winch, it will pull your bumper up into the grille no matter how well it is mounted. You can keep your light bar there with most winch mounting plates, but getting to the disengage switch may be rough. You will have to pop your hood every time you want to disengage/engage the planetary gears (freespool) the winch since there are no handholes cut out of that bumper you posted. You can get a better looking bumer...and cheaper...that will be more practical for a winch. Unless you are only going for looks, in which case I say go with the BA or DV8 bumpers.

This is more expensive than lo-pro bumpers. I would just get a lo-pro instead

Thank you for your input yes I would use my winch and like the idea of it I just liked how I didn’t have to cut anything. I am a bit nervous about taking the crash bar out as it’s meant to crumble if you get in a accident as the bumper will not and cause more damage.

Ironman makes a winch capable bumper that is SRS and impact rated. You can completely remove your bumper and there is no cutting required if you purchase the "wings" that go under the headlights independently. I have the DV8 bumper (also no cutting) and love it for everything but the functionality of using a winch and recovery points. I modified it enough to work for me but isn't ideal and I'm looking at getting the ironman bumper soon.

Is the Ironman a low profile bumper?
