    The M8000S has a synthetic rope line. Saves about 20 pounds weight, and also is a lot safer versus a steel wire if either should happen to break.

    Good Choice. Buying a winch with the line you want is the sure bet. Why screw around with swapping cables and hope you have the proper cable and the proper attachment? This is not a toy to experiment with, you have your vehicle, your ride home, and perhaps you life on that line!

    Nothing wrong with the traditional steel cable, but the synthetic line sure is nice to work with and saves some weight.

    He has a point. The auction does not mention if the line has the hardware to attach it to the winch. Warn weaves a loop into the line and uses a special sleeve and bolt. This hardware is about $6, and would take about 10 days to get to you if needed.
