    add a snatch block = 2x pulling power

    however, the OP was just looking for a his small stucks - personally, I have a Warn 8000 so I don't have to manually extract myself :D

    I have used a come along and shovel to extract myself from a stuck - 90 min. of hard work 45 km from the next nearest person or help, with no cell service even if I wanted to call for help. I had my truck wired for a winch the next week and now have a cradle mounted superwinch lp10000. No way I ever want to put myself in that situation again. A come along is better than nothing, but its no substitute for a winch.

    Donahoe CO's, Deaver leaf paks, Lockright Locker, All Pro body armor ( sliders, front and rear bumpers ), All Pro under belly skids, Warn M8K w/Masterpull synthetic line, Dual Optima battery system, 4 ea LightForce Striker 170 offroad lights, 8 ea wired rock lights, and plenty more I'm sure
    I have a Hi-Lift, Come-a-long
    and a Warn M8K with snatch block
    along with dual agm yellow tops.

    I have these all on board currently...

    But in the past, prior to owning the winch...

    I was able to extract my stuck junk
    using the come-a-long or Hi-Lift.

    the winch obviously requires less effort.

    But don't discount the others...
    great to have on board in case the winch fails.
